GradGuard Advisory Board Member Inducted Into ACUHO-I's Parthenon Society

GradGuard congratulates Advisory Board member Dr. Von Stange, Assistant Vice President for Student Life and Senior Director of University Housing & Dining at the University of Iowa, on his induction into the 2026 Parthenon Society by the ACUHO-I (Association of College and University Housing Officers – International) Foundation.

The Parthenon Award is the highest honor bestowed by the ACUHO-I Foundation, reserved for professionals who have made a lasting impact on the campus housing field through sustained leadership, service, and contributions to the profession. Stange was recognized alongside fellow 2026 inductees Kate Baier, Paul Wuennenberg, Kawanna Leggett, and Gay Perez during this year's Campus Home, Live Conference in Orlando, FL.

In a Linked-In post following the announcement, Stange reflected on the honor, thanking his nominators, Greg Thompson and Virginia Ibrahim-Olin from the University of Iowa, along with the ACUHO-I Foundation and everyone who contributed to meet the fundraising goal that accompanies the nomination. He also offered congratulations to his fellow inductees, calling the group "so deserving of this honor."

Stange has been at the University of Iowa for over 22 years and has been a member of GradGuard's Advisory Board since 2024, where he joins a group of accomplished higher education leaders who help shape GradGuard's understanding of emerging risks facing students and the institutions that serve them. His induction into the Parthenon Society reflects the same qualities that make him a valued voice on the board: a career built on service to students and to the profession at large.

Congratulations, Von, on this well-earned recognition.
